Being able to find joy in the little things in life is a blessing. As a visual person, nothing makes me happier than a gold foiled book cover, flowers blooming in my garden in the spring, or a beautifully labeled bottle on my shelf. I love being able to curate my space and express myself with the products I use and the items I choose to surround myself with.
That is why I created Starlit Studios, to help bring joy, no matter how small, into the lives of others.
Growing up, I had always had a passion for both beauty and design. I watched all of the Beauty Guru's on youtube as a teen, following makeup tutorials and collecting popular brands while also creating art in my free time.
Eventually I went to college to get my degree in product design and ended my senior year doing my thesis on sustainable packaging in beauty. Not only did I create a whole hypothetical brand with 3D printed packaging for my models, I learned a lot about the beauty industry. The joy I felt during that project and building that brand that was so much more than just the product itself, led me to get a Master's degree in Branding and Creative Advertising at the VCU Brandcenter.
Post grad life brought me back into the beauty industry but also opened my eyes to many other industries; food, drink, lifestyle, etc; and how important branding is across the board.
After years of freelancing among various industries, I decided to focus my work on what I truly love most and created Starlit Studios. I wanted to take all that passion and experience with design and work with brands that make me excited to be in this industry!
I believe a brand can and should do so much more than just sell a product or service. A brand's visual identity should be expressive, authentic to who the brand is at their core and be able to convey the values that are most important to them. A brand should get people excited to use your product every day, excited to display it on their shelves or organize in their favorite drawer.
